Project Cost Accountant

We are seeking a detail-oriented Project Cost Accountant to support the financial management and successful delivery of projects across multiple disciplines. This role partners closely with project managers, technical staff, and leadership to oversee project financial performance, maintain accurate project accounting records, and provide meaningful financial insights that support informed decision-making. The ideal candidate is highly organized, proactive, and comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced, professional environment. 

Under minimal supervision, the selected individual will perform a variety of project accounting and financial administration functions, helping ensure projects are set up, monitored, and closed out efficiently while supporting the overall financial health of the office. 

Individuals in this role will be expected to confidently perform tasks similar in nature to the following: 

• Process and track client billing invoices in an accurate and timely manner  

• Read contracts and interpret billing requirements  

• Project setup, including bill structure, rate and classification information  

• Payables entry of sub-consultant invoices  

• Create cost reports in BST 10 Global accounting software  

• Project cost reporting for clients with special requirements  

• Manage accounts receivables on projects  

• Work closely with Project Coordinators and Project Managers for reporting and invoice approvals
