Our Values

If this sounds like you, you’ll fit right in.

About the role

Marketing Operations (MarOps) at Justworks builds and runs the systems and capabilities that maximize Marketing’s ability to deliver against its mission. MarOps enables us to know our customers, execute the customer journey, ship great experiences, understand our performance, and safely leverage agents to scale our impact.

You’ll be joining Justworks at an inflection point in our business. Our top company objective this year is to change the shape of our growth by transforming how we go to market and engage customers. You will play a key role in accelerating this transformation by building the next generation of our MarOps function. The foundations are already in place along with the resources to design and build your stack to serve Marketing’s outcomes.

Your mission is to move Justworks out to the frontier of marketing effectiveness. You’ll be responsible for the systems marketing builds and runs on, how marketing measures its impact and improves, and the safe, effective use of agents to scale all of it. You'll do this as a functional owner working inside a matrixed operating model and in close partnership with leaders from Revenue, Product, Technology, and Data.

What you'll be responsible for:

• Demand Operations: Decide what experience a customer sees and when, across every channel marketing runs, and own the handoff and re-engagement standards that move a customer from marketing to sales, partner, and self-serve paths.

• Marketing Activation: Own the platform marketing executes through, including what marketing builds vs. buys, how it integrates with our GTM system, and which activation capabilities are required to deliver on the Marketing strategy.

• Marketing Intelligence: Ensure marketing is able to understand the impact of its work on the business and enable teams to take action to improve performance and the customer experience.

• AI Capabilities: Build the foundation that lets Marketing use AI safely and effectively, including the shared context humans and agents work from, the templates teams use to build their own agents, and rules for what an agent can do on its own vs. what needs a human-in-the-loop, and the observability standards that enable troubleshooting and improvement.

• Cross-functional GTM: Own Marketing's engagement with Engineering, Revenue Operations, Product, Data & Analytics, and Security & IT on operating and building our growth engine.

• The team: Hire, develop, and grow a team of senior individual contributors that set the standard for a top-tier modern Marketing Ops function.

In addition, all Justworkers focus on aligning their behaviors to our core values known as COGIS. It stands for:

• Camaraderie - Day to day, you can be seen working together toward a higher purpose. You like to have fun. You’re an active listener, treat people respectfully, and have a strong desire to know and help others.

• Openness - Your default is to be open. You're willing to share information, understand other perspectives, and consider new possibilities. You’re curious, ask open questions, and are receptive to thoughts and feedback from others.

• Grit - You demonstrate grit by having the courage to commit and persevere. You’re committed, earnest, and dive in to get the job done well with a positive attitude.

• Integrity - Simply put, do what you say and say what you'll do. You’re honest and forthright, have a strong moral compass, and strive to match your words with your actions while leading by example.

• Simplicity - Be like Einstein: “Everything should be made as simple as possible, but no simpler.”

What you'll bring:

• Experience: 12+ years in marketing, business, or GTM operations functions, including responsibility for driving marketing effectiveness in a B2B or hybrid growth model.

• Builder Mindset: AI solutions you’ve built are in production and driving business impact, along with the guardrails necessary to run them safely.

• Comfort with Complexity: A track record of navigating and cutting through technical and organizational complexity to deliver outcomes.

• Focus on Output: Success designing and implementing operating models that upleveled and overhauled how a function worked to deliver an outcome its previous model could not.

• Craft Expertise: Technical fluency and systems expertise, including composable CDP architectures (warehouse-native, reverse-ETL), data analytics and SQL, modern marketing activation and CRM platforms, and agentic coding tools such as Claude Code, Opencode, and Codex.

• Leadership: Experience hiring and growing senior individual contributors who operate as autonomous owners of their domain. Experience managing managers is not required.

• Partnership: The ability to establish strong working partnerships across business and technical functions, including aligning on where each function's scope begins and ends, how to manage shared capabilities, and cross-functional commitments and collaboration standards.
