Social Services Director

Position Summary

Responsible for the day-to-day operation of the Social Services in assigned community, working directly with residents, family members and coordinating care and support between interdisciplinary team. 

Essential Duties

• Assess, evaluate and strive to meet the psychosocial needs of the residents.

• Assists in the preparation of the Social Services budget and maintains compliance with budgetary guidelines.

• Assists in creating, implementing, reviewing and revising Social Services policies and procedures updating as needed.

• Provides information and referral to residents, families and staff that link individuals to internal and/or external services.

• Disseminates information regarding available financial resources and helps maintain and insure continuation of any monetary benefits that residents are entitled and/or eligible.

• Mediates disputes between and among residents, families and staff.

• Assists with crisis intervention and assists with appropriate individuals to develop alternative coping strategies.

• Designs, implements and evaluates programs and services that that serve individual needs and interests.

• In compliance with the Company’s policies, if applicable, is responsible for interviewing, hiring, developing, supervising and following the Company’s performance management policy with direct reporting staff.
