JOB DETAILS

Pay Rate: $21.50 - $23.50 per hour

Work Schedule: 7:00am - 3:30pm, Monday - Friday, with overtime as needed.

Duties and Responsibilities

The Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) Technician I supports the implementation and maintenance of workplace safety and environmental programs. This role assists in ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations while promoting a safe and sustainable work environment. The EHS Technician I works under guidance to monitor safety practices, conduct inspections, and support continuous improvement initiatives.

• Regulatory Compliance: Assist in ensuring adherence to OSHA, EPA, and other applicable safety and environmental regulations

• Inspection & Risk Identification: Support routine workplace inspections and hazard assessments to identify potential risks and unsafe conditions

• Incident Investigation Support: Assist with incident investigations, including documenting findings and helping identify root causes and corrective actions

• Safety Training: Help coordinate and deliver basic safety training programs, including new hire orientation and recurring safety topics

• Data Collection & Reporting: Maintain safety records, track basic safety metrics, and assist with report preparation

• Environmental Support: Assist with waste management, recycling programs, and environmental compliance activities

• Emergency Preparedness: Support emergency response planning, drills, and preparedness initiatives

• Basic understanding of OSHA safety standards and workplace safety practices

• Ability to identify hazards and recognize unsafe conditions

• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

• Effective communication skills (verbal and written)

• Ability to follow established procedures and work under supervision

• Basic knowledge of incident reporting and documentation practices

• Ability to support safety training and engage with employees

• Willingness to learn industrial hygiene, ergonomics, and safety auditing practices
