Sr. Product Manager

About AKASA

AKASA is building the future of healthcare by developing AI-native solutions for some of healthcare’s most complex, consequential work. Our customers include the most innovative health systems in the country, like Cleveland Clinic, Mayo Clinic, NewYork-Presbyterian, Duke, Stanford, and Johns Hopkins. Our customer base represents 1 in 10 inpatient discharges across the United States and more than $180B+ in net patient revenue.

Our products help health systems comprehensively capture and communicate the full patient clinical journey. By empowering health systems to streamline their operations, they can focus on what matters most - delivering quality patient care.

We train internal models and build domain-specific harnesses to power our products and best capture clinical nuance for each customer. We hire people with high agency and good judgment. Everyone here is an owner and builder who is looking to help solve high stakes challenges every day.

We have raised over $250M in funding from investors such as Andreessen Horowitz, BOND, and Coatue. Our deployments have been recognized nationally as "one of the most comprehensive real-world uses of GenAI in healthcare finance to date" (link https://hitconsultant.net/2025/10/13/cleveland-clinic-deploys-genai-for-coding-and-cdi-across-enterprise-powered-by-akasa/).

Some of our recent recognitions include being named one of America's Top Startup Employers 2026 by Forbes, a Top Healthcare Technology Company of 2026 by Healthcare Technology Report, the #1 most promising healthcare RCM startup of 2025 by Black Book Market Research, and we have been certified as a “Great Place to Work” for the past 6 years in a row.

About the Role

As a Senior Product Manager, you’ll own one of AKASA’s flagship products in our Clinical Documentation and Medical Coding suite.

This product suite improves the quality of physician documentation, helps clinicians identify missing diagnoses, converts documentation to medical codes and ensures financial integrity for health systems. These products help thousands of clinicians and revenue cycle staff tackle some of the most challenging and high-impact patient encounters in U.S. healthcare.

You’ll be in a high-leverage role in a uniquely scaled organization: a small, elite group of PMs partnered with a substantial, world-class engineering and ML team. Together, you’ll work on truly AI-native products that deliver hundreds of millions of dollars in measurable value for our customers.

You’ll collaborate closely across multiple functions - engineering, machine learning, design, finance, and go-to-market, to shape, build, and launch AI-native products.

Your key partners include:

- Customer Design Partners – Leaders and frontline staff from some of the most prominent health systems in the world (e.g., Cleveland Clinic), collaborating with us as design partners for rapid testing and deployment. This article https://www.beckershospitalreview.com/healthcare-information-technology/ai/cleveland-clinic-expands-revenue-cycle-ai-partnership-with-akasa/ describes one of our most recent deployments.

- Engineering & ML – An extraordinary internal team that doesn’t just apply third-party LLM APIs but trains net-new models in-house to achieve breakthrough performance beyond what’s possible off the shelf. Our ML researchers regularly write about their cutting edge work (link 1 https://akasa.com/blog/ring-attention/, link 2 https://akasa.com/blog/multiple-instance-learning/).

- Internal Domain SMEs – AKASA team members, who are industry-leading experts in their domain, who you can partner closely with to ensure products are deeply grounded in real-world user needs (link https://www.linkedin.com/posts/akasahealth_why-generative-ai-is-cdis-next-leap-forward-activity-7369349805678043137-sjiy?utm_source=share&utm_medium=member_desktop&rcm=ACoAAAJH0kcB1Xcz8G2whi0RcoXCL_bvI2I5ft0).

This is an opportunity to define how AI truly reshapes healthcare operations, building products that are not only technically exceptional, but meaningfully improve how we capture the complete patient clinical journey.
