Inventory Manager

Cornerstone Building Brands is seeking an experienced Inventory Manager with background in Lean/Continuous Improvement. The ideal candidate will be familiar with duties such as monitoring purchases / shipments, verifying, reconciling and reporting on the company’s inventory, and finding new ways to meet and exceed our working capital goals. A successful inventory manager will ensure that all business operations have adequate material to achieve their objectives yet validate that overstocking is also not taking place. In addition to standard inventory management duties:

The ideal candidate should have some knowledge of sourcing (tactical or strategic). How to map a process for improvement. (An example of where this effort could be brought to bear are CI events focused on finding new ways to present material at point of use for improved efficiencies in operations.) This position is based in Ritchie County, WV.

• Devise ways to optimize inventory control procedures

• Inspect the levels of business supplies and raw material to identify shortages and overages

• Ensure product stock is adequate for all distribution channels and can cover direct demand from customers

• Record deliveries and shipments to reconcile inventory

• Use software to monitor demand and document characteristics of inventory

• Analyze data to anticipate future needs

• Evaluate suppliers to achieve cost-effective deals and maintain trust relationships

• Collaborate with warehouse employees and other staff to ensure business goals are met

• Report to upper management on stock levels, issues etc.
