Overview:

Read blueprints, drawings and take measurements to plan layout and procedures. Determine the appropriate welding equipment or method based on requirements. Set up components for welding according to specifications. Operating appropriate equipment to put together mechanical structures or parts with a great deal of precision.

Here's what you'll do:

• Read blueprints, drawings and take or read measurements to plan layout and procedures.

• Determine the appropriate welding equipment or method based on requirements.

• · Set up components for welding according to specifications (e.g. cut material with powered saws to match measurements).

• Operate angle grinders to prepare the parts that must be welded.

• Align components using calipers, rulers etc. and clamp pieces.

• Plans layout of wiring and installs wiring, conduit, and electrical apparatus in buildings.

• Diagnoses and replaces faulty mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic components of machines and equipment.

• Identifies problems and isolates faulty components with rapid understanding of the distribution of Input and Output as well as the location of field devices driven by such.

• Set-up and operate MIG/TIG welding equipment using prescribed methods and procedures to weld parts within acceptable tolerances and standards.
