The IT Quality Assurance Specialist will perform test planning, manual test case authoring, scripting automated scripts, test execution, and test reporting on assigned tasks. The IT Quality Assurance Specialist plays a major role to improve the quality, functionality, reliability and usability of software products. Responsibilities include reviewing available project assets (requirements, BRD, TRD, systems documentation, test cases, defects, project notes, companion guides, release notes, test data, compliance guidelines, etc) and preparing a test strategy following the QA Team testing guidelines and software testing best practices. Responsibilities include learning and understanding the application/system under test and perform test activities and make recommendations on the readiness of the target system. Responsibilities include creating, maintaining, and executing test cases, automated scripts required to ensure the highest quality product possible. Responsibilities include effectively communicating with the project team, stakeholder and IT organization on the status of the testing efforts and readiness recommendation with an impact on analysis, reports and metrics.
Other company applications such as Human Resource, Finance, Security, and Compliance systems are in scope for testing. Test types include functional testing, automated testing, performance testing, security testing and user acceptance testing (UAT).
