Pharmacy Technician

The Pharmacy Tech will be responsible for the interpretation and data entry of prescription orders, verifying member information on member prescription requests. May stock, dispense or package medication.

Essential Functions:

Telephonic outreach by the pharmacy department such as MyMeds

Responsible for the interpretation and data entry of moderately complex prescriptions, prior authorization processing, and troubleshooting adjudication issues for Part B and Part D medications

Facilitates prior authorization requests from physicians offices to PBM to ensure compliance with Medicare requirements

Verifies member information and inputs data for the pharmacists

Educates members on pharmacy based rules related to prescriptions and medication resources or assistance programs
