KIPP Pride High School Track & Field Coach

KIPP Pride High School is one of 7 KIPP schools located across the state of North Carolina serving more than 2700 students in grades K-12. We are in search of a Winter and Spring Head Varsity Track & Field Coach who has the ability and experience to lead and develop a successful track & field program in all areas.

Responsibilities:

• Instructs and demonstrates skill sets and techniques necessary for individual and team achievement.

• Develops appropriate training programs and practice schedules.

• Creates and executes game strategy and implements fundamentals.

• Coordinates and implements off-season workouts and strength training sessions for the entire program.

• Works with the Athletic Director to build a competitive and balanced non-conference schedule.

• Collaborate with the AD to hire, evaluate, and support members of the coaching staff for all teams in the program.

• Ensures that proper cleaning, storage, and maintenance of all athletic equipment and uniforms and updated inventories are adhered to.

• Maintains necessary records and completes required paperwork in a specified time and manner.

• Ensures that proper form(s) (medical) obtained and current.

• Supervises students in locker rooms at home and away games and ensures appropriate behavior. Finalizes roster reports to the Athletic Department and NCISAA (mandated reporting).

• Submits completed injury reports to the Head Athletic Trainer.

• Reports ALL ejections and disqualifications to the Athletic Director.

• Reports ALL game results to the Athletic Office, the KIPP NC Athletic Page Website and Athletic.net.

• Supervises student-athletes before, during, and after practices and games.

• Reports problems and situations initially to the Athletic Director.

• Enforces all School policies while at home or on the road.

• Transports athletes to away meets using a provided small or large bus.

• Enforces the North Carolina Seat Belt Law.

• Complies with North Carolina speed limits and all other driving laws at all times.
