High Tension Technician

Technician to work in the Campus Services Electrical Distribution Group. Will be involved in all aspects of testing and calibration, as well as the installation, operation, metering, and maintenance of Harvard University's low- and medium-voltage distribution systems, to ensure the safe and reliable delivery of electric power to the campus.

Physical Requirements:

• The candidate must be physically fit and able to climb staging and ladders, lift manhole covers, and maneuver power circuit breakers.

• The candidate may be required to bend, reach, and hold position for extended periods of time.

• Occasional heavy lifting and considerable walking, climbing, and stooping are involved.

• The candidate must be capable of wearing a full body harness for confined space work and be able to pass a medical physical.
