Director, Organic Social

Our Mission

You call. You wait. You call again. In every other part of your life, you book in seconds. In healthcare, you’re blocked.

We’re here to give power to the patient.

For nearly 20 years, we’ve built the leading healthcare marketplace - helping tens of millions of people find and book the care they need. Now, we’re going further: building our infrastructure beyond Zocdoc’s marketplace to power access to care wherever patients search, from provider websites and insurance directories to search engines, AI platforms, and more.

Healthcare still lacks something every other major consumer industry takes for granted: a seamless way to go from seeking to getting. We don’t want to own the front door to care; there isn't one. We want to make sure all of those doors open when patients are knocking.

Fixing healthcare starts with fixing access to it. And we're still just getting started.

Your Impact on our Mission

As Director of Organic Social, you'll own how Zocdoc shows up on social, shaping how patients and providers perceive, connect with, and engage with our brand. You'll define and lead a social strategy that brings the humanity of healthcare and the value of Zocdoc to life through distinctive storytelling, breakthrough creative, and meaningful community engagement. By building a culturally relevant and differentiated social presence, you'll strengthen our reputation, deepen brand affinity, and make Zocdoc not just a platform people use, but a brand they love, believe in, and want to be a part of.

Your day to day is…

• Own and lead Zocdoc's organic social strategy across Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and emerging channels, defining the vision, priorities, and approach to driving brand awareness, affinity, and engagement among patients and providers

• Set the creative vision and lead content strategy, ideation, and production, developing distinctive, social-first programming and campaigns that build cultural relevance and long-term brand equity

• Build, lead, and develop a high-performing organic social team, overseeing hiring, coaching, performance management, and team structure while managing internal and external creative partners

• Own and optimize the organic social budget, strategically allocating investment across content production, creator partnerships, agencies, and resources to maximize impact and align with brand and business priorities

• Lead Zocdoc's community engagement and creator strategies, building meaningful relationships with audiences and creators, strengthening brand trust, and identifying cultural moments and emerging trends that extend reach and relevance

• Establish the measurement framework for organic social, defining success metrics, evaluating performance, and translating insights into strategic recommendations that drive continuous improvement and business impact

• Build scalable systems, workflows, and processes that enable efficient, high-quality creative production and support the continued growth of the social function

• Drive cross-functional alignment and influence, partnering with Brand, Creative, Communications, and other stakeholders to integrate social into broader marketing priorities and maximize the impact of campaigns, launches, and brand moments

You’ll enjoy this role if you are…

• A strategic leader who understands how to build a distinctive social presence and connect social strategy to broader brand and business goals

• A bold creative thinker with strong instincts for what resonates with audiences and the ability to translate ambitious ideas into compelling content, programs, and campaigns

• A hands-on leader who can set the vision while rolling up your sleeves to shape creative, solve problems, and bring ideas to life

• A people-first leader who enjoys building and developing teams, coaching talent, and empowering others to do their best work

• A natural collaborator and influential partner who can align cross-functional teams, inspire creative partners, and drive work forward

• Deeply curious about culture, social platforms, and audience behavior, with a strong point of view on how brands can show up in relevant and meaningful ways

• Analytical and results-oriented, using data and insights to inform strategy, evaluate impact, and continuously raise the bar

• A builder who thrives on developing teams, establishing scalable processes, and creating the foundations for long-term growth

You’ll be successful in this role if you have…

• 10+ years of experience in organic social, brand marketing, or content strategy, with demonstrated experience leading social strategy for a consumer-facing brand

• A proven track record of developing and leading organic social strategies that drive brand awareness, audience growth, engagement, and affinity

• Exceptional creative judgment and experience developing distinctive, social-first content and campaigns that build cultural relevance and strengthen brand perception

• Demonstrated experience hiring, leading, and developing high-performing teams, including coaching, performance management, and overseeing internal and external creative partners

• Experience owning and optimizing budgets, making strategic investment decisions, and allocating resources to maximize brand and business impact

• Deep understanding of social platforms, audience behavior, emerging trends, and the creator landscape, with experience leading community engagement and creator strategies
